Who We Are

Founded in 2019 by designer-builder Tomasz Low, P.R. Design Build is a full-service design/build practice based in New York’s Hudson Valley. Inspired by the region’s wooden vernacular architecture and driven by a love for quality and creativity, we bring together the full arc of residential building—from design to construction—under one roof.

We serve as a single point of contact throughout your project, ensuring clarity, cohesion, and care at every stage. Our process is deliberately intimate and collaborative, designed to support not only the homeowners we serve but also the craftspeople whose hands bring each space to life.

What Drives Us

Our philosophy is simple: a home should feel good, function beautifully, and reflect the personalities of the people who live in it. We’re not interested in following trends or replicating the past—we’re interested in crafting spaces that are thoughtful, original, and made to last.

We’re especially drawn to clients with a sense of adventure—those who care deeply about the details, have an affinity for the esoteric or unexpected, and value quality over convention. When everyone is on board with the vision, the results are not just successful—they’re joyful.

What We Do

We focus on custom homes and meaningful renovations that are both technically sound and creatively expressive. Our work includes:

We work primarily in Dutchess County, NY and the surrounding region, grounding each project in local materials, forms, and traditions—without being bound by them.

Our Approach to Sustainability

We build foam-free, prioritize natural and low-embodied carbon materials like wood fiber insulation and non-cementitious siding, and design for long-term durability and energy efficiency. We don’t push performance metrics or certifications unless clients want them—but we believe deeply in building homes that are comfortable and better for the people who live in them.
